Aboriginal Relations

We're committed to developing positive and effective relationships with BC's Aboriginal peoples. BCTC works to increase mutual understanding and create long-term partnerships that will benefit BC's communities.

Our Aboriginal Relations department leads several programs and initiatives to support Aboriginal communities, businesses, and individuals.

We understand the importance of involving BC's First Nations in the planning of transmission projects and facilitating meaningful participation in project planning, review and development.

BCTC Aboriginal Relations works closely with BC Hydro's Aboriginal Relations and Negotiations to ensure that First Nations interests and concerns about transmission are appropriately understood and addressed by both organizations.
