Our safety principles are:
- Apply appropriate measures and all applicable statutory standards to eliminate the risk and hazards that contribute to accidental injuries and occupational diseases.
- Provide employee training, instruction and direction to support health and safety objectives.
- Encourage and support employee involvement to improve health and safety.
- Communicate that all employees are accountable for workplace health and safety.
- Identify and address hazards to the public resulting from operation of the transmission system.
Safety Management System
Our OHSAS 18001 consistent Safety Management System is a platform from which to carry out our Safety Principles and to manage our safety risks and improve our safety performance - this encompasses the safety of our employees, our contractors or the public with respect to the transmission system.
