Grandfathered Process

BCTC's Grandfathered Interconnection Process was an interim interconnection process that was in effect from BCTC's incorporation on May 2, 2003 to February 28, 2006. From March 1, 2006 onwards, BCTC's new Standard Generator Interconnection Procedures (SGIP), set out by the Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT), governs the process for generator interconnections.

The Grandfathered Interconnection Process applies to interconnection customers (IPPs) who signed a Combined Study Agreement prior to March 1, 2006. All IPPs requesting interconnection from March 1, 2006 onwards follow the SGIP. For more detail please refer the procedures outlined in the SGIP Section of BCTC's Open Access Transmission Tariff (Section 5) (PDF, 362KB).
