You are invited to attend an educational workshop on the Standard Generator Interconnection Processes (SGIP) which is part of BCTC’s new Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT), expected to take effect on March 1, 2006. The SGIP has significant differences from the current interconnection process. We will be highlighting some of the major changes introduced in the SGIP so that you can become familiar with this new process and learn how these changes may impact your project.
The current interconnection process will be grandfathered for certain projects. In addition, BCTC is implementing a grandfathered interconnection process designed exclusively for the projects in the BC Hydro F2006 Open Call for Tender.
The workshop will provide:
- a high level overview of the SGIP and the grandfathering processes;
- an explanation on the applicability of each interconnection process on various types of projects;
- general instructions to navigate through the OATT process.
If you plan to attend, please send RSVP to Petra Molenaar at BCTC.Interconnection@bctc.com before February 3, 2006 with the names of people from your organization attending.
