As part of our $3.2 billion Capital Plan, BCTC has a number of projects underway which will serve the growing electricity needs of residents and businesses in our communities. The new projects span a variety of activities including the addition of new circuits to substations, building new substations and initiatives to manage trees and other vegetation growing around transmission lines. It’s time for transmission solutions that will help ensure a safe and reliable supply of electricity across the province.
There are currently two major projects in progress to help accomplish this goal:
Interior to Lower Mainland Transmission Reinforcement
Vancouver Island Transmission Reinforcement
