To increase the reliability of existing electrical infrastructure and address growing demand for electricity in the downtown core, BC Transmission Corporation is installing a third transformer at Cathedral Square Substation in Vancouver.
BCTC is working closely with BC Hydro and the City of Vancouver on this project.
What's New?
The new transformer will be moved on the weekend of January 17/18. This will involve street closures/restrictions (PDF, 33KB).
