Environment


BCTC is committed to planning, building, operating and maintaining the transmission system in an environmentally, socially and financially responsible manner.

For the Central Vancouver Island Transmission Project, we have initiated an environmental overview study to identify environmental issues and constraints related to aquatic, terrestrial, archaeological and land use resources.  This study will identify anticipated environmental assessment processes and timelines, as well as applicable permits, approvals and authorizations that may be required from the federal and provincial regulatory agencies for the Project to proceed.

BCTC is committed to full compliance with environmental requirements defined by legislation, regulation, government directives, guidelines, commitments and agreements.
