Each year, BCTC prepares a ten year Capital Plan for submission to the British Columbia Utilities Commission. This Plan outlines the company’s plans to sustain and expand the transmission system in BC to maintain reliability and meet growing demand. As part of this process, BCTC provides opportunities for customer and stakeholder input.
BCTC recently completed a number of studies looking at the capacity of the bulk transmission system in the southern interior and has identified a number of emerging issues or constraints. BCTC is hosting this meeting to share information about the current system capacity, develop a shared understanding of future transmission requirements and facilitate a preliminary discussion of the options available to reinforce the system.
