Over 120 people attended BCTC’s 4th Annual Technical Planning Forum on June 16th. Participants included independent power producers, utility representatives (including municipal), industrial customers, industry consultants and a First Nations representative.
Topics included:
- BCTC’s Strategic Context,
- Long-term Transmission Vision,
- Innovation & BCTC’s Technology Roadmap,
- Wind Integration,
- BCTC’s Environment & Climate Change Plan,
- the Transmission Expansion Policy and
- preliminary information on BCTC’s F2010 Capital Plan.
Of those who provided written feedback 100% rated their overall impression of the session as very or somewhat useful and a good use of their time, with a significant majority rating it very useful. Comments included kudo’s for BCTC’s process (“I was impressed by the openness of the presentations made during the forum. It is a truly transparent process. Congratulations”) to a desire for more detailed information at future events (“More detail on large capital projects, timing, value and procurement process”).
