Transmission Planning Advisory Committee

Offering input on policy issues

The Transmission Planning Advisory Committee (TPAC) is comprised of key stakeholders from industry, government and environmental groups. TPAC provides a forum for stakeholders to offer input into policy issues at a broad strategic and policy level. More specifically, this group was established to do the following:

  • Provide expert advice into the planning process related to the enhancement or expansion of the electric transmission system in BC and interties with neighbouring jurisdictions.
  • Build a common understanding and create dialogue around the criteria used in transmission planning.
  • Discuss and provide input into the planning assumptions and drivers used in the planning process.
  • Provide input on BCTC's public engagement process.
  • Provide comment and input on any policy-related matters referred by BCTC.
